Data Analyst/Programmer

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Data Analyst is responsible for gathering the overall specification, conduct research and collect data which will help in development of report/analysis. The responsibility will also include importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modeling healthcare data with the purpose of understanding or making inferences for decision or management purposes. Data Analyst will be responsible for ensuring high quality data is collected and integrity of the data. In addition, he or she will provide ongoing support with respect to Data warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Gather reporting requirements from the requestor, share report options with the requestor
  2. Create mock-up reports for review.
  3. Assuring the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis.
  4. Ensuring smooth and proper running of database
  5. Database design, security, data storage and management
  6. Collecting and collating appropriate data for usage in databases and conducting related research.
  7. Developing of programs and data that can be used for data analysis and presentation
  8. Evaluations and problem investigation
  9. Analysis of information using various statistical methods, trying to see patterns in data
  10. Work closely with colleagues to try and identify data related problems and solve them
  11. Responsible for administration, database design, security, and maintenance.
  12. Work closely with team members to develop the best practices for data warehouse.
  13. Develop and deploy ETL packages
  14. Assist with other duties as needed

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Excellent working knowledge of data structure, relational data bases, stored procedures and views
  2. Microsoft SQL 2005, 2008
  3. Strong analytical ability
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. 7 years’ experience writing reports using a variety of reporting tools, SQL Reporting Services, Crystal
  2. Minimum of three years using SQL to query complex relational databases and validate reporting results, SQL Integration services preferred
  3. ETL experience

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS required
