Quality Improvement Manager

SCHEDULE: Full time, 40 hours
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Quality Improvement Manager collaborates with PHP administrative and clinical leadership to improve the measurement, assessment and improvement in core processes and services to drive excellence in clinical quality and risk management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and manages PHP quality management program in alignment with PHP strategic goals and objectives. Meets all accreditation, regulatory, risk management and legal requirements.
- Manages staff supporting the QI/Risk Management program and organizes staff activities to assure completion of QI/Risk Management goals and objectives.
- Supports project design and implementation to improve clinical outcomes, service levels and patient satisfaction. Disseminates information for effective team support as indicated.
- Monitors action plans to maintain timeliness of task/project completion.
- Oversees the development/distribution of reports and report cards/dashboards that enable PHP leadership to effectively evaluate organizational performance.
- Supports the QI Committee of the Board and Clinical Department QI including drafting agendas, organizing data and presentations, creating minutes.
- Supports participation in studies, grants that enable the organization to improve performance.
- Supports accreditation activities including monitoring standard compliance, changes required for mandatory reporting.
- Other tasks as needed.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proficiency in word, excel and power point.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: written and verbal, ability to work well with groups, communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical ability-including report specification, data interpretation and data uses.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least 2 years of previous QI experience in health care requiring reporting, data analysis, group presentations.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed as clinical provider.
- Bachelors required, MPH or MS preferred.
