Senior Clinical Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Technology (IS and IT)
REPORT TO: Health Information Systems Manager
STATUS: Exempt

GRADE: 7
SCHEDULE: Full time, 40 hours per week
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Clinical Analyst will provide direction and leadership in the usage and training of PHP’s NextGen EHR application. This individual will be the key liaison between clinical operations and the Information Technology Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Routinely review and analyze the EHR’s clinical usage for workflow efficiency and procedural compliance
- Lead EHR trainer for physicians, mid-levels, and nurses
- Provides in-service and other forms of continuing education of EHR software and hardware to users as needed
- Supervises clinical analyst
- Analyzes EHR problems, determines cause and initiates corrective action.
- Develops clear and concise documentation, instruction manuals.
- Provide direction, supervision and support to department managers and CIO
- Acts as the lead company super-user
- Maintains a high level of interaction with all clinical areas to continually enhance/improve patient care.
- Shares on-call duties with other individuals within Information Services.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITES:
- Performs other related duties as required
- Is a key participant in the EHR development QA process
- Is a member of the EHR Committee
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent communication skills in order to communicate and direct instructions to internal clients/users
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Customer service focused
- Excellent ability to utilize various computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, problem resolution and computer/technical skills
- Prior experience implementing EMR across a multi-site environment using a major industry solution
- Thorough understanding of standard healthcare policies and regulations
- Excellent understating of ambulatory workflows
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with EHR implementations and support
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Registered Nurse (RN) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
