Web Developer

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Web Application Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing infrastructure as well as develop new technologies. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop new Web applications as identified by supervisor and management through packaged and customized applications.
2. Maintain & update a company-wide Intranet, allowing data manipulation for each internal staff member.
3. Maintain and enhance existing internal & external Web sites.
4. Perform complete testing of Web applications–unit and system, engaging users as necessary.
5. Conduct all user acceptances testing, and report results.
6. Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use.
7. Develop database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing.
8. Develop external Web portals allowing users to input and retrieve accurate information.
9. Assist with other duties as needed.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Candidate must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn.
2. Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
3. Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
4. Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
5. Experience with hardware and software issues.
6. Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
7. Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of five (5) years of related experience in web development and maintainance is required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.
